  • Generally good, but lacking

    By Tomcato
Good basis but by no means complete. Missing the vast majority of scales in alternate tunings which is what I was looking for really. Also it only has the first position on the blues scale, which is daft as that's pretty much the first scale everyone learns. Finally you constantly need to switch the orientation of the device to change between scales etc, would be nice if offered the same functionally between landscape & portrait.
  • Doesn't do the Job intended

I'm really disappointed that a company such as D'addario should lend its name too this. I bought this for Open G and it's a complete waste of time. Don't waste your money on this if you want scales in open tunings.
  • Okay

It's alright for standard tuning but the reason I bought the app was to see scales in open D tuning and doesn't work for this.
  • Very useful, but...

    By paradoxatplay
... if ONLY the fretboard view could be zoomed out and in to enable one to view more than one scale position at a time - the lack of this feature is a serious nuisance in my practising sessions. Once sorted, I would give this app 5 stars...
  • Disgusting

I just bought this app, along with the 'scale wizard'.. Both by Planet wave, neither will open, daylight robbery.. Stay away from this lazy company, there are plenty of others.
  • Not working

Was a great app, but now fretboard doesn't appear, so can't use.
  • Good, but...

    By Seffron
... Options to change what tunings you want view, but there are very little or in most cases no scales available. Nothing for drop D and not even an option for drop C. Sort this out and it would be an amazingly useful little app. Apart from that, if you use standard E tuning then this is well worth buying.
  • Scales, but not for all of us

    By Crowsteve
Disappointed. Good range of scales, modes etc. but there are notes missing from the sound engine and, more importantly, it is assumed that we all play 6 stringed alto guitars. There is nothing directed at those who play 7 strings or 5 or 6 string basses. As my old school report used to say, "could do better..."
  • Needs an update!

    By eddy231
Apparently there are no notes in the blues scale in a minor between the 8th an 17th fret. Where have they gone?? An where's the sound gone?? 5 stars once it's updated.
