  • What I've been waiting for!

    By puzzlehound
This is an amazing app. It's the best way I know to OCR text, including any way on my Laptop. It's fast and the accuracy is excellent, with it happily doing a mixture of English and Greek text, including plenty of Proper Names. The most recent updates have made a much better job of understanding paragraphs and deleting unnecessary newlines - thanks! It also now supports the standard share sheet from iOS 9: yay! However the new design makes it less stream-lined than before in actual use, and buttons aren’t in sensible places. Docking a star. There’s also a serious bug in Evernote export that means the text doesn’t actually get saved.
  • Translate

Not bad at all. Some languages are a bit hit and miss but the ones I use(German, Russian,) are quite accurate. This has helped me to know what is written in Russian as I have a Russian wife, and I impressed her by repeating in English what was said on the document. Although I think she knows I cheated in some way.
  • It works

    Just as it should
  • Helping a distracted reader

    By James Alliban
I use this to help with reading. I have a tendency to become very distracted so it can take an age to read. With this app I snap the page and get the phone to read the text to me as I read the book. A very helpful aid. One suggestion would be the option to skew the photograph after taking it. It can be difficult to get a perfect shot.

It thought I would give it five stars so I’m giving it 3. It’s pretty good, but crashes on my 6plus.
