  • Very good app

    By SueBetts
I like this app very much, and try to use it every day. Working my way through all the Italian lessons from the beginning. I am learning a lot, but I also supplement with books and cd materials. It would be improved by having the standard keyboard.
  • Good but

This is a good app but with the spoken dialogue it can be difficult to catch what's being said when you're a learner, needs a slower speech option for the beginner section. When there are two ways to say something in Italian it says you're wrong if it's not the answer they want, even if what you said was perfectly correct. I've used free apps that allow different ways to say things, must be possible on this app Keyboard a bit skittish too, should use iPads own keyboard. You can tell where it’s made, it’s efficient but there’s no joy or fun in it’s presentation. Also I think it would help if it gave a second chance if you make a slight spelling mistake especially in the beginners section, miss out an apostrophe or write completely the wrong word and the result is the same
  • A step up for learners

    By kass100
Great app, good learning structures and explanations included. Could be some improvements: 1. Allow access to the standard keyboard on iPads/iPhone as this is what is most familiar to the users 2. Have a tolerance for spelling errors so as not to discourage learners
  • Cosa e?

    By Foss1948
A good system for learning through sentences and speech interactions but I really need to slow the playback down to catch the nuances of Italian speech! Quite unforgiving in typo’s when entering text. This needs addressing, especially in the Beginner course structure.
  • Babbel

I think it is Exellent except for the fact that it lets you do the same thing everyday
  • Getting access when you have paid for a subscription

    By Cross non-linguist
This is a great resource, but I don't understand why you pay for a month and then are somehow blocked from downloading further lessons. You are then in danger if subscribing again, rather than getting access to what you've paid for! So annoying.
  • A1

This is by far the best app for learning a new language I have ever seen or used.
  • Charged and no access

    By Samantha7*
Paid £15.99 and still no access
  • Too expensive

    By Raemmi
Great Idea but you only get one lesson free then have to pay monthly subscription, I could get proper lessons for that.
