  • Excellent learning tool and great customer service

    By Esmerelde
This is a fantastic app for learning individual hanzi and is great for forcing you to learn things that are easy to skip over like tone marks (oh I don’t need to practice that - whoops I do). I find the raw squish where it shows your own handwriting extremely helpful in correcting stroke placement. Additionally the email customer support is excellent. Highly recommended.
  • Great app

Excellent and addictive app. I regret not using it earlier in my studies, since I downloaded it and gave up quickly. Instead I focused on recognition only via Anki. That works until the intervals get to 2 months+ and the retention drops dramatically. So my advice is, do it right from the start. Write them out. Another reason I gave up on Skritter at first is I didn’t find the dark setting. I find the sound and graphics much more addictive in the dark version. My only concern is with the future switch to a React Native version of the app. So far the beta is nowhere near as good as this one - and I hope it’s not pushed out until its brought up to par.
  • Excellent but

Excellent app but way too expensive would happily make a one off payment but not at well over hundred pounds a year.
  • Invaluable but currently broken on 6S

I love this app but single taps don't work properly on the 6S right now which is crazy frustrating. Forum bug submitted - back to 5* once a fix is in. Keep up the great work!
  • Still #1 reason I have an iPhone

Skritter continues to impress, it's my number one tool for learning Chinese and this app is the reason I bought a smartphone in the first place.
  • The best way to learn characters

    By RinnyMcPhee
This app is awesome, so easy to use, has a huge content which you can adapt to your personal needs and ran by very helpful people. By far my favourite app for learning Chinese and because of the spaced repetition aspect, you learn quickly. The subscription fees are also very reasonable for the standards you get. Cannot recommend this highly enough
  • First free week was more than enough

    By Dmhtaiji8
This app is amazing. Highly recommend, very well written with a good understanding of how to learn. With so many free apps. I'm. Reluctant to subscribe but currently the free one week trial has given me more than enough and I can still study all that I had learnt anytime in the future still for free. I'd recommended doing as much as you can in the trial period.

    Works well for me

Excellent app in principle, but remains clunky and lacks the polish and finesse expected of an app with a monthly subscription.
