Description

You've booked a trip to your favorite getaway but the plane is full and you're stuck in the middle seat, sound familiar? Let Seat Alerts® by ExpertFlyer help find you a better seat in 3 easy steps: 1. Look up the Seat Map of your flight. 2. Set up a Seat Alert to find window seats, aisle seats and more. 3. Get notified if your preferred seat is found. Seat Alerts will monitor the available seats right up until the flight departs. If it becomes available you can change your seat when your Seat Alert notification arrives, just contact the airline or the travel agency that booked your ticket. Seat Alerts finds a window or aisle seat better than 75% of the time. • With a Free account, you can set up one Free Seat Alert at a time using the Any Seat, Any Window or Any Aisle options. Other advanced alert options require a fee. • Seat maps include SeatGuru® seat ratings so you know which seat is the right seat for you. Just click on a seat to see its rating and review • If you need multiple Seat Alerts at the same time, additional alerts and alert options are available for purchase • Supports over 150 airlines that have preassigned seating Notes about app functionality: • Account registration is required to use the Seat Alert app, this is so we can notify you of found seats and keep track of your alerts across devices. • Miles Award or Upgrade searching and alerting is not the same as Seat Map searching and alerting. This app is Seat Map Alerts only. For Miles Awards & Upgrades, please use our website. • Also works with ExpertFlyer.com Basic and Premium subscriptions to manage your Seat Alerts. • Seat Alerts checks the seat maps several times a day. If you find and take an open seat before the next check of the alert, you won't be notified. • To prevent abuse, a limited about of seat maps can be viewed each day, resetting every 24 hrs. Only a single seat map search is needed to create a Seat Alert.

  • Provider of false information

Paid for a premium subscription in order to check for Emirates D award/upgrade availability. Expert flyer duly advised me that such availability existed on a suitable flight. Based on this information I proceeded to book the flight. Unfortunately, it would seem that Expert Flyer provides false/incorrect information. Emirates assert that there is only D award/upgrade availability on the first sector. I can now well & truly declare that the information provided by Expert Flyer can’t be trusted & will cost you more than their subscription fee. Don’t waste your money on this service!

Great app by expertflyer. Have frequently managed to secure seats that I wouldn't have been able to in the past. In the future would be nice for the notification to pop up as an alert on your phone as well as an email. Also would be nice to have the app allow you to setup award seat alerts as well, rather than just through the website.

Frustrating. You try out the app a few times and then it tells you i've done too many searches and need to wait.

Hard to use, confusing and not very intuitive. The website is hard to use and the mobile application is a "One-Night-Stand" because it's to a bigger effort to put your energy to figure out, if you do like 'Damaged Goods' this is your app.
  • Totally useless

Literally never has the information I need even thought I'm searching major airlines like Qatar, Emirates. Will always tell me it's too far in advance and I need to upgrade. Confusing to use and poor layout.
  • App is a bad attempt to get all your cash from you

App sounds like a good idea, however the free version is not worth trouble downloading. ie if you search just one flight all cabins then you are told that your searched are excessive and that you need to pay for the premium service to continue using. Don't bother with this app. I'd rate it minus 5 stars if I could!

Downloaded, forced to create account. App failed to send verification email and no functionality to resend. Tried to create new account with different email address. App is paired to device and forces you to use original email address, yup, the one they didn't send the verification email to. There is option to throw away all privacy and login with Facebook, guess this broken process is trying to force that option on you and sell out your friends along the way. App Store needs zero star option.

Great app if you want to see how full a flight is and what seats are available.
  • It's okay

I don't travel too much to warrant paying for this. One issue is the flight I do have, the app is telling me there are open seats and when I log onto Delta, they aren't available.

Most airlines don't let you select a seat until after you have booked and parted with your money. This app lets you check which seats are available before this to help you decide. I prefer window seats so if none I will use another flight. Handy when used in conjunction with the Seat Guru app.
