  • One of the better wood working magazines

    By Diverbob84
Great content, mixed techniques, varied approaches, not too many adverts and wide ranging projects. Significantly better than many magazines that push biscuit joints , dowels and mdf more than joints , hardwood and challenging projects. Latest two issues can’t be bought on new app though. Enquiries to support and no responses. Just get the rotating white wheel and no purchasing screen. Guess I’m saving money!
  • Restore purchases doesn’t work

I have an ongoing subscription and it is still trying to charge me for the latest issue. I have previously complained about dead links in the magazines and was ignored. They seem to treat customers with contempt
  • Good to see an update for iOS 11

But prefer the old design and I seem to have lost my bookmarks and that's more than a bit of a pain.
  • Bad update

    By AndyandMarion
I now can't access the on-line extra articles. When I click the link it asks me to login! When I login with my correct email and password it rejects me. I know my login works because I can login on my computer. This makes it virtually impossible to use as an app.
  • Not fit for purpose

    By Alfa G
Downloaded the app and all it does is sit on the front page. No access to anything - looks frozen. Either fix it or remove it from the app store.
  • Bad app

    By Hiersche
If I could give 0 stars I would. I've deleted and reloaded this app several times and still have problems, not to mention lost issues and books that I've already purchased. Every time I go back into the app, I have to re-download the issues that have already been downloaded. Customer service has been nice and helpful but it cannot overcome the shortfall of the app. Don't waste your time and money. Stick to the magazine. Taunton press should be truly embarrassed by this app.
  • Despite subscribing still bombarded with magazines you need to pay for

    By duckanddufus
Having subscribed for a year I was disappointed with the amount of magazines which appeared in the 'rack' which you still have to pay £8 for, there are 10's of magazines which although fairly good (bought a couple) are nearly 50% adverts for American products so useless for anyone outside of the U.S. seems that they are a little too much about the bottom line and less about the wood.

I am a print subscriber. But have the digital version as well. Enjoy the bonus content, which gives depth to the articles.
  • A fine magazine

    By IJP1
The quality of this magazine is enhanced by having the ability to see back numbers on this iPad. Hope to see further improvements in future.
  • Good magazine, rubbish app

    By lorneanderson
Possibly the best woodworking magazine but they need to move over to PocketMags or something as this app just isn't up to the job. Can't even preview issues, and I for one don't buy if I can't take a look first. Lots of adverts, all aimed at US but their direct links can be useful though.
