Description

Scan musical notes, automatically recognize the notes and hear the music play! Using "musical OCR" - OMR, this app can sight read sheet music. This is the Pro version which supports load and save of captures and exporting to MIDI. Note that loading from the camera roll or image library is not supported, only loading previously saved captures. NOTE: Music recognition is a difficult problem. This app does not support the complete set of notation, for instance whole notes and the alto clef are not recognized. Depending on how the print looks and the quality of the photo the app may have trouble recognizing the notes and symbols correctly - do not expect perfect results! iSeeNotes developer interviewed on Swedish national radio, SR P1 Kulturnytt: http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=478&artikel=5575938 Have you ever wondered about the melody of a new song in a song book? Are you learning an instrument? Learning a new song for the choir? iSeeNotes can help you! Using iSeeNotes, you can take a picture of a piece of sheet music using your device, and it will be converted into sound using optical music recognition. Place the printed score in a well lit location, hold the camera steady and press the button for iSeeNotes to take a photo. Wait a few seconds for processing and hear the music play. Please visit www.iseenotes.com or send a mail to info@iseenotes.com if you have any questions. Features: - Save and load - Export to MIDI - Reads multiple staffs - Recognizes bass and treble clef - Recognizes key signature - Recognizes accidentals - sharps, flats and naturals - Handles multiple voices - Recognizes beams - Recognizes dotted notes - Recognizes rests - Recognizes note flags

Absolutely useless. Can't even read simple single line music. I want my money back. Don't buy this app!!

This app does not do what it says it can. I feel very misled and would like my money refunded if at all possible

Unfortunately the song it imported sounded totally different on the midi playback to what was on the score. Shame.
  • misleading to say the least

Very disapointed. On the Iphone it is not ready to begin with. Pointless to try it any further
  • Doesn't work for Violin Grade One Music

Very disappointed at this app as it incorrectly interprets very simple grade one violin music. It does not recognise the key and interprets the sharps to the right of the treble clef as notes. Support site says it is much more capable than it actually is. The simple tunes it failed to interpret are Russia Gopak, Mattachins and Holst - Jupiter.

Took a chance on buying this app and although its early days I can't fail to be impressed. This simple, naive even, interface is clearly in need of considerable development but it works and works well. As described by the developer, do not expect it to work perfectly for everything and all the time, but having said that its an absolutely impressive feat to get this far and does exactly what I wanted it to do so am delighted. This app can only get better as long as the developer appreciates just what a fantastic prospect for musicians he/she has created and is prepared to improve and develop this app - this shouldn't be difficult as most of the hard work has already been done. This promises to be THE most important development in the future of music and score reading. Well done.
