Description

The AppStore №1 and top-rated for your iPhone and Apple Watch, Sweatcoin app converts your outdoor steps into gadgets, sports and fitness kit, services and experiences. 5 Stars ► “Such a great concept and executed excellently. Gets me walking and rewards me for it too!” by Woo123789 “Basically pays you to move and exercise, and it costs nothing to use.” - Men’s Journal “The easiest way to make some side cash by doing what you already do naturally — walking.” - TheNextWeb “New UK health app Sweatcoin launched in the Apple app store this week and has been an instant hit.” - Forbes “New Apple app launches in Britain that pays people to get fit” - Reuters “The app that PAYS you to get fit: Sweatcoin rewards people for the number of steps they make every day” - Daily Mail “If ever you’ve needed an incentive to exercise, a new app could give you a much-needed boost to get active.” - Telegraph Sweatcoin converts your steps into currency units called, as you might have guessed it, sweatcoins. You can then spend them on goods, services and experiences on our market place with our partners or exchange them with your friends and family for whatever you fancy. The fitter and healthier you become the wealthier you get. Movement has value! And remember that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Sweatcoin uses your HealthKit step history data to continuously improve our algorithms and provide you with better offers at the right time.

  • Great idea...

Seems cool in theory but with the way iOS works and the verification algorithm it regularly misses outdoor steps because iOS 11 will “suspend” the background app (this is different to user termination and cannot be detected) I suggest the devs look into Vitality Healths points reward model as they use various methods and ways to ensure people don’t Game the system. (They offer free stuff for exercise tracked by an app)
  • Great idea but a bit pointless

I’ve been using Sweatcoin for a week and apparently I’m in the top 10%. Great! I’m earning Sweatcoin and... I can get free trials and special offers and money off - in exactly the same way I can without Sweatcoin. This is the problem. I feel swizzled. I was an enthusiastic adopter. I mean it’s a great concept, I got people to sign up, earned even more Sweatcoin! It’s fun to check and see how you’re doing but it’s all so disappointing when it comes to rewards. If I wanted free trials and hooks into subscription services I could browse my junk email folder. Do better with the rewards, make them actually worth having. I’m sticking around for a bit longer hoping I’ll be proved wrong. Oh yeah, it also canes your battery.

    Great App
  • Coin limit per day ruins it massively

Okay so in general it’s a brilliant idea it gives you the motivation to get out and walk knowing that you’ll be able to buy stuff with the coins you achieved from walking. However this is where the problem stands. You can only achieve 5 coins a day from the free subscription package. I may be mistaken but I believe if the cap for the free subscription is 5 a day it doesn’t matter how many steps you do you’ll only ever get to 5 and it stops. So if you walked 100,000 steps you would still only get 5. That’s a problem and it makes it absolutely pointless walking long distances thinking you’ll get loads of coins when in reality you only get 5 coins per day. Considering most of the best items are 20,000 coins that would literally take you well over 10 years to even reach that amount by that time this app would of probably closed by then or most people would of gave up and moved on plus when you do finally get to 20 thousand coins the iPhone X will be well well outdated. (By like 5 new iPhones most likely) Don’t get me wrong this app in general is a good idea I just think the cap limit ruins it massively to me it just shouts money grabbing to make you purchase the other subscriptions to earn slightly more coins a day.
  • Amazing idea !

Needs a lot more offers and cheaper ones and less that use credit cards other than that, it’s great.

So you need verified steps to get sweatcoins and they choose what to verify. Well I got 15000 steps on health app yet only 200 verified steps, meaning I got A grand total of 0.2 sweatcoins
  • Best fitness App

There is essentially no reason not to have this app on your phone. It works quietly in the background earning you ‘cash’. I’ve been on board for over a year and love it.

I generally think the app is great, but I have a question. When you activate a free trial, and it ends, does it charge you after it ends? Thanks.
